I never tried this, but this sould work:
In modeller, save the object as two seperate file, one with a surface name
of Bulb_Off (or whatever) and another as Bulb_On. Then, in your animation,
us the Bulb_off object up until you want the light to come on, and then
MORPH the object into the Bulb_On having MORPH SURFACES turned on. Because
the two objects are the exact same thing, only the colour should change.
Although the morphing of the surfaces may not come out the best between
the two colours, because the morph will be happening relativly quick ( I
mean, how long DOES it take a light bulb to come on?), there shouldn't
really be any noticable problems.
